NT combined testing/NIPT

Hi all
We had our combined (NT test) which has shown an increased risk. I’m now waiting for the NIPT (Harmony year) results but feel anxious. I’m not even sure why as we’ve already decided it will make no difference to us, but I guess it’s like waiting for any other result!
I thought I’d start a thread in case others are in a similar position or have been and have any words of wisdom!

It should read harmony test not year!

How high was your NT?
I'm aware my experience is different to yours as we did have a TFMR but our high nuchal (5.3mm) came back with a low risk NIPT result. We then had the amnio which showed a very rare chromosomal problem.
I hope all is well for you.

I would recommend speaking to ARC during the wait. They're brilliant.

Thank you @Treaclepie19 really appreciate it and so sorry about your TFMR. Our NT is ok it’s just the bloods have shown a high risk at the moment.

I'm still waiting on NIPT for my twins - the first blood test resulted in "insufficient dna" which could mean a problem. So I had to have it redone but they get sent to USA which means another 2 week wait.

At the 12 week scan last week they couldn't do the NT measurements as neither baby would sit still so NHS said they wouldn't do the combined test 🤷‍♀️ (bit frustrating that they don't offer to try again on another day!)

Ive been in panic mode the last couple of days. Eventually I paid privately to have the NT and combined test done yesterday and they did get the measurements which were in the normal range so nervous wait for the results on Thursday/Friday

With it being a private clinic I felt they went into more detail than the NHS scan and checked for nasal bones and heart functions and visually they said both babies were low risk which has calmed me a bit

Was anything picked up at your 12 week scan?

Thanks @ivfdreaming nothing picked up at the actual scan, based on the bloods. I hope you don’t have to wait for much longer!

Hopefully all will be well for you if nothing has shown up otherwise Flowers
