Hi all, when I had my dating scan 2 months ago I was supposed to get baby's personal growth chart afterwards but they couldn't give it me as there was an issue with the system and it wouldn't let them print it off so I was told to ask for it when I went for my anomaly scan which was yesterday, I asked numerous people and they all looked at me liked I'd just spoken in alien tounge, nobody knew how I went about getting it.

It wouldn't normally worry me but I'm a high risk pregnancy due to 2 SGA babies and an IUGR baby and I'm having fortnightly scans from 28 weeks, so I'm now going to have to explain to my consultant in October why I haven't got the growth chart they need to track babies weight. How would I go about getting it before it comes to that point x

Either contact your midwife and explain. Or when you start your growth scans as it's then when they'll start looking at the babies growth progression.

I'm assuming you'll be consultant care due to your history. I'd ring the hospital and ask to arrange a telephone call with a member of your consultant team. My own growth chart was generated at my anomaly scan and was put into my notes at that point by the person helping the sonographer.

Midwife wants to see me at 25 weeks in September so I'll ask if there's anything she can do , or maybe if I mention it as I'm going in for my growth scan at 28 weeks then they will print it off for me, I know the consultant will have one in my hospital notes already but I need one in mine too as not only am I having growth scans I'll also be having weekly CTG monitoring as well x

@Maidmummy
I personally wouldn't assume that the consultant has one if you don't. With my experience of maternity care (I'm expecting my 9th dc) I would assume it hasn't been generated. Likely they will say wait til 28 weeks given covid and poor service in general but I would check. Imo your midwife won't be able to do anything (except ring the hospital) as the growth chart is generated by the hospital - specifically the sonography.

With my hospital it's the clinical team who do the screening bloods that generate the growth charts not the sonographer, also having had a consultant for the last 3 pregnancies I do know that they also have an extra copy of the growth chart x
