Hi,

Is anyone booked in for a c section or had a csection recently at the Princess Royal in Glasgow?

Could I ask:

  1. Was/Is your birthing allowed to stay with you in ward until you’re taken to theatre?
  2. Did they come to recovery with you and then ward after recovery?
  3. Were you allowed any visitors?
  4. How long were you kept in hospital for?

Thank you x

Not me but a friend. 1. And 2. Yes but they have to not have symptoms, you have to not have symptoms and you need to take masks with you. When you rate back in the ward they need to leave by 11pm latest. 3. They were allowed one visitor but it had to be specifically arranged with the ward, wasn’t like a standard visiting hours thing. 4. They were in for a few days, maybe 2 or 3 I think.

Hi, I'm due for a c- section in a few weeks at PRM but my midwife told me today that you are allowed your partner and 1 other visitor (cant be a child). She also said I should be discharged within a day or 2. Hope this helps :)
