Supplements for pregnancy fatigue

I am in my first trimester and the fatigue is becoming really debilitating. I can barely walk up the stairs without feeling exhausted, and slept 7-7 last night and still feel shattered.

Had a scan yesterday and everything is fine but I don't remember feeling like this with my first.

Are there any supplements I can take that are safe during pregnancy but will help with my fatigue?

Spatone.

I'd speak to.your midwife or GP about getting your iron levels checked. You may need suppliments which they can prescribe x

How many weeks are you? Iron should be checked when they take blood at your booking appt.

Thanks everyone. I'm only 7 weeks @peachypetite but normal booking appt is over the phone at the mo, and they've not said anything about bloods so thinking they may just wait until my nuchal scan to do them. Maybe I should ask GP to check them just in case. Also feel very dizzy a lot of the time which seems to indicate low iron as well

Get some spatone sachets in you and yeh, they did mine at my 12 week scan to minimise trips to the hospital. It’s totally normal in early pregnancy!

Oh poor you, I was the same in my pregnancy - it was awful. I took Floradix (double check, but I 99% sure it's fine to take in pregnancy!) which possibly helped a bit, but supplements take so long to start working that I can't be sure. Definitely get your iron checked. In the end, the only things that really helped me to stay half-awake at work was drinking lots of water and eating (fruit or nuts) almost hourly. I hope it passes soon. You have my sympathy, the wading-through-treacle feeling is really miserable.
