How soon after C-section did you have another?

Wasn't sure where to post this so sorry if it's the wrong board.

So what I'd like to know is how soon after a c section you had another baby? I've read anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.

I had 1 EMCS 4 years ago and an ELCS 3 months ago. I was advised to wait at least 2 years after DS1 but no one said anything after DS2. Both very straight forward and easy recoveries.

I thought DH and I were set on just the 2 but have both discussed the possibility of a 3rd and would both like to do it sooner rather than later as although the 4 year gap between DS1 and DS2 was what we wanted the first time, we both want a smaller gap this time to get it all out the way basically. DS2 is very easy going and chilled so this is also party why, although I do know things can change so quickly.

Things like money and work aren't really a factor, our only concern is is it safe for me and the -imaginary- baby. I am overweight but not massively so, so would like a little time to lose a bit more weight again first.

When I have DC2 there will have been 18 months between my c-sections.

I don’t recall being told to wait any length of time after DC1 and no one has mentioned anything since I have been back with the midwives for DC2.

Ive jad 3 c sections first was an emergency the other 2 planned. Theres 22mths between number one and two and 12mths between number 2 and 3

22 months between mine. First emergency, second a planned c section.

26 months between 1st and 2nd. Then 3 and a half years until my 3rd, then 27 months until my 4th.

I was never told to wait a specific amount of time before trying again.

3yr6m between my CS and VBAC.

Would wait at least a year before falling pregnant again after a CS

I had two within a year.

We were thinking a 12-18 month gap ideally. Obviously things don't always go the way you plan, I do know that.

Did anyone have any issues with such a close gap?

My IVF clinic refused to do another transfer for a minimum of 18 months before getting pregnant again and I would have needed a specialist doctor to approve it being 12 months

The risk of rupture and dying and leaving my children motherless has scared the shit out of me enough to be happy to wait a bit longer

I was told to wait 12 months after my ELCS.

Just had an ELCS with no 3. I was told to wait a year by the medical staff.

I was also told to wait a year after my planned c section
