Seems to still differ by hospital/trust area - just give them a call before your appointment

Hi,

I am also in Oxfordshire and if it is the John Radcliffe hospital, they have info on their website.

I wasn't allowed partner at 12 weeks but I have my 20 week in a few weeks and their website said (when I checked it a week ago) that they are now allowing partners from the start of August. However, it's worth just ringing or checking website on day of appt to avoid disappointment.

Hi - as others have said, each Trust makes its own decisions on this. At 12 weeks I had to go on my own, but during my 16 week telephone appointment with the midwife, she told me my DH could come along to my 20 week scan (which is early September).

I'm also Oxfordshire and will be giving birth at the JR. If your on Facebook there's a group called Oxfordshire Maternity voices which do videos and things weekly and keep you up to date with changes so maybe join that and I'm sure you are now allowed partners at scans but probably best to double check and make sure.

I was advised to check hospital Facebook page

In Scotland partners are only allowed in for the 12 & 20 week scans at present.

@scotgal99 that’s not true they can attend anti natal and post natal appointments too

ChipsAreLife · 16/08/2020 22:43

Yes partners allowed at scans at the Horton and JR now. Def worth joining the fb page too

The OP only asked about scans.
