Chills from night sweats

Hi all, I’m pregnant with my first and I’m currently 6+3 weeks. Last night I woke completely drenched in sweat but was really cold and shivering. My husband said the room wasn’t cold but yet I was running for the blanket and couldn’t stop uncontrollable shivering. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal for night sweats? Should I be concerned? I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

Hi @CountryGirl84,

We know you posted this thread a couple of days ago but we're just bumping it into Active Conversations in case anyone's around with some advice.

Hopefully you'll have had a decent night's sleep by now. Flowers

Hi, I had quite a lot of night sweats in the early weeks of both of my pregnancies. Very unpleasant! I also remember feeling the cold a bit more - but that's not too unusual for me. I never really had chills with the sweats.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I called 111 as my temp was high too. They ended up sending a non emergency Ambulance as they thought it could be Covid.. it wasn’t. It turns out I had a mysterious infection. Do you have a high temp too? If so I’d call the EPU and ask if you can get scanned, just to make sure it hasn’t affected the bump.
