Looking for experiences of labour and delivery in the Princess Royal, Haywards Heath?

I’m hoping for a water birth there, so especially interested if anyone has had one?

Do they ‘get’ hypnobirthing?

DC1 born at an MLU, but sadly I have to go to hospital this time as I had a haemorrhage last time Sad

Hi, I had my first at Princess Royal and will be having my second there in January.

I can't say anything on the water birth, which I sadly also wanted l, but I ended up going 16 days overdue and had a 3 day induction and stalled labour with resulted in an EMCS.

I found the consultants dismissive throughout my labour, however the midwifery care was excellent. As I ended up there for 7 days, I saw a clockwork of them and never had a bad experience, very kind, helpful, patient and knowledgeable.

I also personally knowa midwife who worked there for 15 years and she is an avid supporter of hypnobirthing so I would hope the rest are of similar mindset.

Congratulations and wishing you all the best with your experience.

My friend had her baby at Hayward’s Heath last year and she said they were brilliant. She wasn’t in very long but she raves about the care she was given. We are using Hastings as it’s nearer for us but thought I’d share her experience for you!

Following as moving up that way and will probably be giving birth there in Jan :)

Hi, does anyone else have any more experiences? @gerdticker did you have your baby there?

Gerdticker · 22/03/2022 12:40

Hi yes i did and it was a positive experience. It’s a fairly small hospital and I was lucky enough to give birth in the pool. I stayed overnight and was out the next day, all very friendly and straightforward x

Hi @Gerdticker ahh thanks so much for the response and congratulations Grin I'm glad it all went well! Was that this year?

I think I find the fact that it is a small hospital quite appealing! I think it might be just a nicer experience x
