Overdue and totally fed up

Anyone else? Only 2 days overdue but totally fed up. Really tearful, uncomfortable, not sleeping and just being generally vile. No real signs of anything except 2 weeks of period pain. Thought all the way Through was going early but nope. Also wanted a home birth but looking less and less as time goes on. Sorry for rant 🙈

I had 2 weeks of period pain then it started and most areas allow a home birth upto 42 weeks. Have you tried all the usual things sex, scrubbing the floor, walking up hills?
It’s horrid being overdue I was with my first.

Having a home birth is not about being “allowed” or “not allowed” - you can give birth wherever you want to, it’s your choice. I’m planning a home birth and won’t be changing this just because I’m overdue

For both DDs I was nearly 42 weeks. I wasn't uncomfortable at all but it can be frustrating.

Do not do extra exercise!!! (I nearly had a bad slip trying to walk more....) Or eat spicy foods (unless you feel like it), or eat heavy foods or wtv weird thing they tell you. It's all BS!!!! Trust me. Even membrane sweeping doesn't work. If it did my kids wouldn't have been induced 2 weeks overdue.

Sleep!! Rest!! (You can have sex! That's a nice one )

Tell me about it. I'm 40+5 today with my first and suffering from terrible heat rash and PUPPP all over my body which is BLOODY GREAT ARGH! Anyone else suffered from this? So sucky because I've had the best pregnancy up until this point. Feel like I've become an itching machine over this past week.

TMI but have you been going to the toilet a lot? Apparently loads of pooing means baby is coming soon...

I was 12 days over in the end, had to be induced. It’s the worst, you can’t settle to anything. Fingers crossed baby makes an appearance soon for you! Good luck! 😊
