Hi guys,

I’m currently coming up to 7 weeks pregnant (yay!)

I have quite a stressful job, which involves a lot of hours, getting here at 8:30am and leaving past 6pm most days. It’s a sales job and we have an event coming up this weekend. Which is my usual weekend off...my manager knows I’m pregnant and he knows I’ve not being feeling too great but has said we all need to come in for it. This means I will be working 11 days in a row now. I had my last day off yesterday and I can honestly say I feel so much better today from just having a rest. But as he’s already said we all must work it, it does make me think that I have no option but to push myself and work these 11 days. I’m dreading the next 7 months or so knowing that my manager quite obviously doesn’t give a shit about how I’m feeling etc

What would you do?!

Do what you feel is right for your health.
I know some managers put pressure and purposely ignore the way you feel because at the end of the day they serve themselves and the business, but YOU shouldn't ignore. You are the only person responsible for your health
and wellbeing and the sad truth is work is probably not gonna help you, especially if it means time off.
Pregnancy is 9 months that will impact the rest of your life. If you need rest, take it.
And if work is being difficult i would get a doctor to sign you off.
