Worried following assault

Just wanting other peoples thoughts. I work with adults with learning disabilities and was assaulted 2 days ago. Not badly but was jolted backward against a work bench. My lower abdomen feels a little tender although I could just be over thinking it. Rang the midwife the morning after who said because there was no abdominal trauma, no severe pain and no bleeding everything will be fine. I'm 13 + 3 weeks. Has anybody had anything similar, a sudden jolt or twist? Probably just being a worried first time mum.

When I was pregnant with my first, a boy at my school with SEN ran at me in the corridor, jumped up and hugged me. Got quite a bump in the abdomen as he didn’t realise his own strength. Thankfully all was fine, but like you it did worry me. Are you able to arrange a private scan for peace of mind? Baby is so well protected in there I am sure you will be ok but it doesn’t stop us from worrying.

We have a private scan booked for 16 weeks for gender reveal, I have thought about booking a reassurance scan. Sorry to hear a similar thing happened to you but glad everything was alright. It wasn't anywhere near my tummy so I'm probably just being over anxious. My anxiety levels have shot up since finding out I was pregnant, I now worry about everything 🙃

Don't worry OP it will be fine. I did a weird silly jump on to something on the floor at 13 weeks and landed on my tummy! I was beside myself with worry. Awful time.. but it was absolutely fine and I forgot about it after a week or so.

If you've noticed any blood when you wipe, they'll do you a reassurance scan

Take from that what you will but that's the advice I was given when I was worried and I was scanned later that week

At 13 weeks the little one is still very small, and very well protected by waters, and extra layers. So I’d think you don’t have to worry too much.
xx

Yes, I know of someone who was kicked in the stomach by someone swinging their leg over a bike whilst getting on it. They were fine, try not to worry

Baby is probably safely tucked away all happy 😊. When I was 6 weeks pregnant (I work on the ambulances) I went to a large man who had a seizure and was very confused afterwards, stumbling round the house, extremely unsteady on his feet. He kept falling into walls/us as we steadied him and then managed to trip over his feet and fall towards a coffee table and stone fireplace and I though he was going to hit his head and seriously hurt himself and my automatic reaction was to try and 'catch' him/stop him falling as I was right next to him. Bad idea. Spent the rest of the shift worrying about my aching stomach and twisting suddenly and panicking I was gonna have a miscarriage. All was ok in the end though! I went onto light duties soon after that though!
