pain at the top of bump?

Has anyone else had this or have any idea about it?

For four days I've had a pain when I move around right at the top of my bump. It's usually just in one little point although it seemed to stretch all the way across the top when I was washing up just now. It's really quite sore but isn't in a place that I KNOW has ligaments. It might just be ligaments of course. Any ideas?

I've started having wierd pains at the top of my bump which feel like stabbing pains (i am 34 weeks).

I asked my midwife and she thought it was probably the baby kicking the underside of my ribs - they can bruise the bone quite easily.
