Okay, I’m super confused, advice please! I took 9, that’s right 9! Home pregnancy tests that all came up positive and my period 2 weeks late. Got blood work the other day and they just called and said “you are not pregnant.” What?!?

Blood generally more reliable - but mistakes can be made. I’d suggest you get another pregnancy test (different brand/packet) and if that’s positive call back and request another blood test. Good luck!

I just got another one, different brand and positive as well! Drs are making it sound like they didn’t think I was ever pregnant saying wait a week, if period don’t come I’ll get another test. So confused how I could get that many positives though and not be pregnant? Not sure if it’s miscarriage or what?

Sounds like you’re pregnant... it’s possible they’ve mixed up the blood test result.
Perhaps ask them to arrange another one on Monday?
Not all doctors even bother with blood hcgs - most would trust a woman to be able to see the two lines on the test!

Can you book a private scan? That would give you a definite answer.

They’re being pretty rude and not very helpful. Told me to “stop taking home pregnancy tests” and to wait a week. Think I’m gonna try to go to my Er and get another blood test done.

Yes, wait a week, that is good advice.

You are either pregnant or not.
All tests have failure rates.
You have had repeated positive urine pregnancy tests - doing further ones will unlikely change anything.

Serum bHCG is very accurate, anything >5 would be considered positive (the most sensitive urine tests are positive from 25). Were you told what your blood level was?

Where in the world are you? In the US? What will an ER blood pregnancy test cost you? If you are in the UK, please do not go to A+E - this is not an accident, and not an emergency.

I understand how stressful this whole situation is for you, but no test in the world will make any difference to the outcome.

I hope you will get the answer you want as soon as is practical Thanks

Agree w PP, don’t go to ER, esp in current climate. Also please don’t waste your money on a scan without waiting for the HCG - if you are pregnant it’s very early days so the scan won’t see much/anything at this point.

I’m In the US, I did end up going into the Er because I’ve had miscarriages in the past and would be considered a high risk pregnancy. I was advised to take Progesterone supplements before the blood test came back negative and they said I wasn’t pregnant. However, the Er test came back positive and they believe I’m very much pregnant. So just thinking there was a mix up somehow? Have to wait until Mon now to let my dr office know.
