How many bottles?

I'm trying to work out how many bottles to get as I'll be formula feeding. I've got 6 tommee tippee closer to nature 260ml bottles, but was wondering if I would need more? Would 6 be enough or is it better to get more?

We had 6, it was fine for us. I tended to sterilise 3 at a time so there was a constantly supply of bottles ready to go.

That's what I thought till someone said it might not be enough to me🙈 I'm planning to get the tommee tippee microwave steriliser too so I would do 3 bottles for night feeds and the other 3 kept in the container for 24hr sterilised. I think that's how it works, I have heard a lot of good things on it

At first I had 5 of the Mam bottles but found we rotated through them too quickly so I bought another 3.

6 is fine, but I’d recommend using Milton & cold water for sterilising. I found even the microwave steriliser faffy.

Best advice is to wait until baby is born

I bought loads of tommee tippee and avent bottles when pregnant

Guess who had a baby who refused anything other than Dr Browns?

Guess who took loads of brand new bottles to the charity shop?

I had 6 big ones and 6 small ones. The small ones were great for newborn and then when DD was bigger and decided she wanted extra after finishing her big bottle.

We have that steriliser too - it takes four bottles but I found it easier to do three at once. It's very simple and easy to use and puts just lives in the microwave when we're not using it.

@Illegitiminoncarborundum oh god what a pain🙈 typical after buying all the stuff!

@FelicityPike that would be my backup plan if the microwave wasn't effective. I probably would buy them just in case, since Milton's have been around for years!

@mynameiscalypso it's amazing what you can get nowadays with Tommy tippee to make lives easier!

I think I'll stick to just 6 bottles and if dd goes through them quickly or decides she hates this brand then I'll buy another set!

We had 8 as our baby fed little and often. Do make sure that you don't properly stock up until you know what your baby prefers though , we were all set up with everything from tommee tippee but had to switch to dr browns for his comfort.
