PBC-Freya app worth it?

The Freya app, do you get much extra on top of the PBC digital pack? I know it’s only £2.99 but would rather not spend the money if I don’t have to...
I’m wondering if the mp3s that come with the digital pack will be enough? On the other hand, I can’t see DH reading the scripts to me in labour as he’s not been massively up for practising it so far so maybe a ‘virtual birth partner’ would be good 😂!

Yes 100% it's what got me through my labour. I got to fully dilated at home with just the app to listen to and a tens machine. I'd say it works better for the earlier part of labour. I started using the calm meditations but mainly used it for the breathing and counting. I also found listening to the meditations quite calming in the weeks before the birth too.

Right, I’m sold! Thank you for replying, could use some calming meditations right now x

Bumping this. Anyone else used it?

Stargazer87 · 09/11/2020 21:33

I've downloaded it in preparation for labour and it looks good to me. The mps's are the same as the digital pack but good to have everything in one place!

That does sound useful. It looked good for timing contractions too?

Stargazer87 · 10/11/2020 08:30

Yes it seems good for timing contractions too, at the end of the day it's only £2.99 so it's definitely worth a go!

I’ve had my baby now and found the app useful in early labour for timing contractions plus the affirmations helped me get in the zone. Found them more annoying as labour progressed but you have option to turn them off so I did and just used it for timing contractions. Thought it was really well designed
