Is it normal to worry so much?

Second pregnancy and 5+2 today. First one ended in miscarriage at 5+1 and knew it was going to happen because all symptoms just completely went one day.
This time round I knew I was pregnant because I had all the same symptoms before I tested which then carried on after I tested etc. I’ve got extremely sore breasts and nipples but things have seems to slightly ease off a bit recently.
Still got sore breasts and nipples but not as much, the horrid nausea which was keeping me up has settled more and only seem to get it as soon as I wake up and the bloating seems to have eased today and I’ve been constantly bloated for almost 2 weeks.

Does this sound “normal”? I know everyone is different but I’m TERRIFIED!
I want this baby more than anything x

Hi, my symptoms were a bit like that, I had a lot of symptoms before I tested/just after I tested and then they eased off for a few weeks but the nausea came back with a vengeance at about 9 weeks. I can completely understand your worry tho, I am now 27 weeks with my first baby but second pregnancy, I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks last year. I don't think the worry ever really goes but with every day that passes it does get slightly easier x

Not sure if it's better or worse to tell you the anxiety is pretty normal. I was quite consumed with it. Of course now they're all here and growing up, there are a whole pile of different things to worry about!

My symptoms were similar to this all throughout my first trimester. I would have days where they felt really strong and then they would tail off for a few days only to come back in full swing again. This worried me as well, I'm currently pregnant with my first baby but 3rd pregnancy, but I've just put it down to everyone is different and every pregnancy is different. I'm currently 18 weeks and the worry has got a bit easier to deal with the further along I've got. X

Thank you all for your replies. You have settled my nerves a bit I think. Just had a lovely bath and already now in my Pj’s😂
I’m just taking it day by day and thats how I think I’m going to get through it until I get to see it in a couple weeks x

my symptoms come and go depending on the day. Mostly come though!
But i agree when you get a break you worry it's going wrong again, but this time for me they come back with a vengeance- every single time.
So now i enjoy every single moment i get to feel ok.

I hope you can relax a little.
I am also pregnant after a MC so totally get it. X

Oh my god!
We had pizza hut this evening, and I ate the garlic and herb dip without even realising!
Baby will be okay won’t it? I read on here somewhere that you should avoid garlic sauces but shop bought mayo is fine😭

@Chicken123 I promise promise that eating garlic mayo won't hurt your baby ❤️
I totally get the anxiety - my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 5.1 and I was a nervous wreck the second time round. I found it much easier when I started to feel her move, it was really reassuring.
Symptoms come and go and it doesn't mean a thing. X

I'm 13+3 and still anxious. The nausea has mostly passed now but before the scan if I had a day feeling ok was worried out of my mind that something was wrong. I'd eat something then find out I shouldn't have eaten it (pineapple and liquorice tea, who knew?)
It is a really worrying time, hopefully it'll get easier for you. Theres always private early scans if you think it may help.

I'm now 12 weeks with twins and have zero symptoms - nothing! I've had 5 miscarriages and 2 ectopics and had more symptoms during those pregnancies than I have had this one x

I too am very anxious. I’m so tired but not sure if this is due to rubbish sleeping at night because of the heat. Most days apart from a morning exercise class I’m not overly motivated to do much until late afternoon. Can’t do this when back at work in sept 😳I wake up at about five in the morning feeling waves of nausea so creep down to eat something plain otherwise I know I won’t go back to sleep and as 🤢 as I feel, it is reassuring me I’m still pregnant. Really want everything To go well. Fitter than ever, actual good BMI for first time since I was a teenager and a new addition would be amazing. My two teenage children always say they would love a baby brother or sister so at least I know they won’t be disgusted at the thought! All we can do is stay positive but doesn’t stop the “what ifs” creeping in does it 😆👍.

Like @ivfdreaming I'm 12 weeks pregnant with twins and have had no symptoms for the whole pregnancy (except tiredness and congestion). I've just had my 12 week scan and they're fine but I've been unbelievably anxious from day 1 and will no doubt continue to be - after miscarriages I think it's inevitable! Best of luck and congratulations xx

LouJ85 · 15/08/2020 20:34

I'm almost 5 weeks and I'm the same - my symptoms come and go in waves. I'm also highly anxious and hoping it's normal. Confused

Mama246 · 15/08/2020 21:44

Hey I’m the same as you! 5+3 today after miscarriage at 8 weeks a year ago this month, I think it’s normal to worry especially when you want it more than anything! I have had really sore breasts where I could even lie on them and could have cried yesterday when it completed went away! They are a little sore today and I have an early scan booked for Tuesday at est 5+6 as I just can’t wait any longer 🙈 wishing you all the best and luck with this pregnancy! 🌈
