Sore after scan

I had my dating scan yesterday which was amazing. Baby was being very cheeky and turning away when she was trying to get measurments. She seemed to be a student overlooked by another sonographer.
I did notice she was pushing all her weight down thinking owch this hurts and today I feel bruised inside and really sore.

Has anyone experienced this? The baby is well protected right? I can't help but worry

I'm 37 weeks and had multiple scans and yeah they do press down quite hard especially early stages when there tiny. Baby is very well protected. I had one two days ago and it really hurt to the point nearly asking to stop. I wouldn't worry. Babies very protected. Congratulations on your pregnancy

Yes they really do!! This was such a shock on my first pregnancy - I thought they would just gently glide over my bump while I held DH's hand and smiled at the screen. Instead it's a really quite rough experience interspersed with having to do star jumps, roll about, laps of the room and so on to get the baby to cooperate. Not really what I was expecting! The baby is well protected though so don't worry.

I was so sore after my 20 week scan I was certain something was wrong. My
Little one, like yours was super cheeky so she had to press down to get her to move to get all the measurements. My 10 week old is snoozing next to me now so all good x

I remember this well, baby's position was not conducive to NT measurement and the sonographer was pushing in all sorts of ways trying to see. Sore and also not comfy on full bladder! But baby will be fine xx

Aww thank you so much for the reassurance. I mean I can deal with pain and discomfort I was just worried about the little one being prodded about and hoped everything is still in tactBlush

Definitely not a glamorous experience up on the bed. I had half my bum out doing wiggles. I almost fell off sideways at one point haha. The pressure was a huge shock as you said I expected them to glide over the bump.

All worth it tho seeing the baby was just magical x
