Wisdom tooth infected!

My wisdom teeth don't have the room to push through so they get infected every few months as there's a flap where food etc gets trapped and causes irritation. I'm seeing the dentist tomorrow but has anyone else had a tooth infection whilst pregnant? I'm 22 weeks and can't take penicillin. Last time when I wasn't pregnant I was given metronidazole but don't think I can take it now x

I've had a tooth infection for months. I was prescribed Amoxocillin for 5 days. It didn't do much as my tooth still hurts. My dentist refused to see me until baby is here so you're lucky you got an appointment!

@AliSxo I've had this a few times and unfortunately had it whilst I was pregnant! Metro is still safe to use in pregnancy as my dentist wanted to prescribe it to me however personally I opted for amoxicillin just because I had awful side effects from metro pre pregnancy, but don't worry it is safe!

I had it whilst pregnant amoxicillin and paracetamol, salt wash etc. Just had mine out last week (not pregnant) and it’s been an awful week got dry socket. I would advise not having it out till you have had baby as I needed lots of drugs!!

Thanks everyone x I won't be able to take amoxicillin as I'm allergic, I'll see how I get on tomorrow, it's an emergency dentist it's up the road, I'm hoping it's not infected I've been doing salt water rinses and corsadyl twice a day xxx
