Just wondering that really! I'm 19 +2 and still haven't felt any movement yet!

Had a scan 2 weeks ago to find out I'm having a little boy and all was good there - but can't help but worry that I should be feeling movement by now?

I felt bubbly feelings at around 18/19 week point & then proper kicks from around 21 weeks onwards.

Sash887 · 12/08/2020 11:48

With my 1st it was around 24 weeks. With this pregnancy (2nd) I've not felt kicks more flutters and moving around. But everyone is different if you are worried please contact your midwife they will be able to let you know what's normal xxx

They are still so so tiny at 19 weeks xx

Sairafina · 12/08/2020 14:04

I think I was 20+4 or +5 when I felt the first proper kick. Three thuds in a row! Then there was nothing for about a week but since then he has been v.active

I didn't feel anything till after my 20 week scan. Not sure exactly when though.

bee222 · 12/08/2020 14:23

I’m 21+4 and I don’t think I’ve felt anything yet.

Is this your first pregnancy, OP? It's much harder to tell with your first, because you don't know what it is you're supposed to be feeling and it's very subtle. Anything up to 24 weeks to feel your first movements is completely normal. I'm about 19 weeks pregnant too, but with my 4th so I recognize the incredibly tiny pops and flutters. I don't think I'd have realised though, at this stage with my first. Also, it depends where your placenta is lying, as it can mask moment if it's at the front. When you start to feel your first kicks, it'll feel like tiny, tiny bubbles popping. Blink and you miss them! You certainly won't notice them if you're busy.

Somethingsnappy · 12/08/2020 14:30

P.s. in fact, it's normal not to feel anything until about 25 weeks if it's your first!

Shawla92 · 12/08/2020 14:34

This is my first pregnancy and I didnt start to feel flutters till week 20. I did see how lazy our boy was at our scan though so I'm guessing he is just a lazy baby. I also have an anterior placenta which muffled the feel of movements but I'm now 22+5 and starting to feel regular flutters with the odd obvious kick :)

Hatscats · 12/08/2020 14:48

Anterior placenta, about 23/24 weeks for me!

HomesUnderTheSpanner · 12/08/2020 14:49

17 weeks, first pregnancy.

WhatWouldPennyDo · 12/08/2020 15:03

About 18 weeks, although they were fairly faint. Now 30 weeks and they’re borderline painful Grin

H8624 · 12/08/2020 15:12

Thanks all! Placenta isn't at the front so not that (they said at scan).

Sounds like it's quite normal not to feel yet so I will relax 😊
