Expanding round the middle at 9 weeks....

I am 9+1 today (first baby) and the last 2/3 days I've noticed I've definitely expanded slightly round the middle.....it's not where I'd expect, I thought it would be lower but it's more around my waist and I didn't think I'd notice so early!

I've been off on holiday for two weeks and have put on about 2-3lbs, from eating constantly to keep the nausea at bay! I would never normally notice that sort of weight gain though! My clothes definitely feel a bit tight and my boss said to me on first day back today "oh you're starting to show already" 😳

Has anyone else started expanding early on?! I think it must just be coincidence I've gained a couple of pounds....

Me! Currently 9+1 and have definitely expanded, struggling to do my jeans up (had to just leave a button undone the other day). I think a lot of it is bloat as I wake up looking reasonably normal and then as the day goes on I get more and more of a belly. Had a scan the other day and the sonographer said I was bloated and it would be because of the progesterone. I too have been eating constantly to stop the nausea though and have been so tired that I’ve not done any exercise in three weeks, so sure that’s not helping!

I remember that by 12 weeks I only fitted into pregnancy clothes. From about 18 weeks, people would give up seats on public transport at the sight of me as the bump looked so huge already. It was a large singleton pregnancy.

In the first trimester you get a lot of bloating due to progesterone. This will improve after 12w. I definitely shrunk between 10 and 15 weeks.
