Will I be offered a sweep?

Hi all, so tomorrow I go to my 40 week appointment with midwife. I’ll be 39+4 tomorrow. Just wondering if I’ll be offered anything like a sweep at this point to coax baby out? This my first baby, and I don’t really want to go too overdue. I’m low risk but at the same time would get anxious if I was kept another 2 weeks as I know the risks increase. Just wondering what you ladies had discussed with midwife at this stage? Thanks

Hi @NLW91 - it may depend on how your trust do things. I was told that mine do not offer the first sweep until 40 weeks but they just moved my 40 week appt from 36+4 to exactly 40.
I had a sweep then (yesterday) and have another booked for a few days' time then induction booked for 41+5 absent anything happening in the meantime.
