Hi all! Please see the launch of a new research study from the 'Pregnancy and Behaviour' Research team in the Clinical Psychology Department at the University of Edinburgh. The study titled “Pregnancy, alcohol and behaviour: the impact of an information leaflet on women’s attitudes towards drinking during pregnancy” aims to recruit women in the UK, over the age of 18, who are pregnant or have been pregnant since April 2016.
The UK's guidance on prenatal alcohol consumption has changed over time, which has resulted in conflicting messages around how safe alcohol is during pregnancy. It is our hope that the study will help us to better understand alcohol consumption during pregnancy and inform interventions aimed at reducing alcohol consumption and protecting women and their unborn children. The information gathered will help to better support women during their pregnancy.
