Third Trimester Emotions

I’m working from home alone all day 4 days a week and 31 weeks pregnant.
I’m finding my emotions to be all over the place and I just don’t feel like myself if that makes sense?
I do have anxiety but this is a bit more persistent, and I think the tiredness isn’t helping at all.

How are other people finding/how did you find the third trimester emotionally and mentally?

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and at home with my two older boys for the summer holidays.

Can you pinpoint exactly what it is you're anxious about? Birth? Parenthood in general? If you can do that then you can start to resolve it.

It's perfectly normal to feel emotional as it's a massive change headed your way but if you're feeling overwhelmed or constantly in a state of worry then you need to speak to your midwife or GP.

Hi OP! I'm 33 weeks and my first trimester hormones have returned and I do have a tendency to cry....ALOT!!!
I think (for me anyway) it's the realisation that I'm going to be a mommy soon and the thought, whilst excited, is truly terrifying!
I'm seriously bricking it and just keep thinking .... oh my god! My entire life is about to change!!!!
I suffer with anxiety too and I can't shake the feeling, so I think I know how you feel!
I think it all becomes quite overwhelming at some point doesn't it!

@LatteLover12 I’ve got support from my GP re: anxiety, this just feels so different!

@lockdownpregnancy it’s like you’re inside my head!

@mammagmac nice to know you're not alone eh!
Hormones, anxiety and pregnancy all mixed together is a bitch! 🤪🤪🤪
The Priory anyone??? 😂

37 weeks +3 and feeling exactly the same here.. these past couple of weeks I just want to cry every minute, I feel a mix of excited, scared, anxious, happy, sad.. all at once..can’t wait to go on mat leave and stop feeling angry and bored about work.. really don’t feel like doing anything.

lockdownpregnancy · 10/08/2020 20:34

@Bubblesbebe I feel the same! I spent 11 weeks on furlough and couldn't wait to go back to work. I was so excited when I went back to work! Like a new lease of life!
Now I've been back a couple of months and now I can't wait to finish as I'm fed up of struggling to sit at my desk and work! Roll on 4 September which is my last day! As much as I'll miss everyone at work I'll be glad to just put my feet up for a couple of weeks before baby comes and just veg out and get even fatter than I already am! 😂

Bubblesbebe · 10/08/2020 20:58

@lockdownpregnancy I just feel like I haven’t taken any holidays this year, and they are squeezing my soul till the last day! Getting quite stressful, as I don’t have the energy to care anymore
I think I would have struggled to go back if I had been on furlough though! As soon as I disconnect I just can’t go back.. not long left Grin

lockdownpregnancy · 10/08/2020 21:33

When do you finish @Bubblesbebe? I've got 4 weeks left!
You know when you think you should have finished sooner?!?! 😫😫😫
Especially with this heat! I'm so done! 🤪

Bubblesbebe · 11/08/2020 05:45

@lockdownpregnancy I finish next Friday, at 39 weeks.. completely regretting to have waited for so long! Now I am just praying I go on labour early just to avoid this last week hahaha.. it’s just too hot to be sat on a chair for so many hours..but I just keep telling myself that the worst is done, and hopefully these weeks will go fast! Working from home really made me think everything will be easier... stay strong you all!

mammagmac · 11/08/2020 08:36

@Bubblesbebe you absolute trooper!! I’ll be finishing at 34 weeks with a week of annual leave then taking mat leave straight after - so done after all this heat and endless hours of working from home!

I'm in the office today so I've cranked up the air con and now everyone is moaning they are cold! 😂
There's no way they are turning it off I'd melt! 🤪🤪

mammagmac · 11/08/2020 13:56

@lockdownpregnancy you’ve got the pregnancy card to play, ignore them 😂 it’s just too hot at the moment!!!

@mammagmac they turned it off! 😭😭😭 one of the partners said his client was freezing in the meeting room! So I've spent the last 3 hours melting! Back to feeling like I've wet myself! 🤪🤪🤪
