Hi all.
I am looking to buy a video baby monitor and i want to be able to conect to the live stream from my phone when i am not in the house.
From what I've seen so far not all the video baby monitors have this option.
Do you have any recommendations please?
Thanks

We were looking for the same thing and were recommended the BT Smart Video one. Haven’t used it yet so can’t comment on it myself but we were recommended it by a few people 😊

Sorry, I wrote that mid feed and then baby decided to try and grab the phone so I posted quickly!

So cons -

  • relies on decent internet connectivity
  • no monitor apart from your phone
  • if you leave the live stream running it drains your battery
  • quite expensive
  • I end up checking her ALL THE TIME

Pros -

  • always accessible via the app and can have multiple users/devices including family (non-admin) login
  • has baby detection alerts plus covered face, roll over, cry, danger zone (when they're older you can set this for near the bedroom door or wherever)
  • can keep audio running in the background on your phone when you're on other apps without having the live stream active
  • great customer service
  • sleep analysis - shows when baby cried, moved or caregiver visited overnight, so shows total actual sleep time

I don't work for them by the way :) but I do love it

I just bought a Victure 1080 baby camera on amazon, we had an angelcare for DS and I missed having video as an option so wanted one for DC2 arriving soon.
It was only £21!
Connects to an app on our phones, you can spin it 360 degrees, up down and zoom in. It also has 2 way audio and you can opt for it to send your phone notifications of movement or sound but obvs you can sit with a live feed too on a phone or tablet.
Also don't have to worry about range as it connects to your WiFi and works through the app, one reviewer said they use it as a doggy cam when they're on hol

We want to get a non-WiFi monitor (so we can’t see on the phone) as our WiFi isn’t reliable. But I’ve heard the lollipop camera is really good! I’d get that one if our WiFi was better
