6 weeks - I think I've Miscarried

So I is/was 6 weeks pregnant,

Today I was bleeding when I wiped and had period cramps.

I decided to take a clear blue digital and it came back not pregnant 😔

I phoned the EPU who advised to call a number tomorrow and to take another test in 3 weeks time. To cal back I blood got worse in the next hour like full on dangerous bleeding but it hasn't.

It just feels like my period has arrived.

Has this happened to anyone else? I think we have miscarried and I am devastated

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. It happened to me in April :( it’s heartbreaking. I couldn’t wait the two weeks I was told to wait to test so I booked a private scan just to confirm to myself that I had miscarried so I could start to heal. My tests went negative also as the hcg dropped. But I’m now nearly 7 weeks pregnant again and seen a strong heart beat last week so it’s not the end of the road for u. Your rainbow baby will come xx

Did you have to go to hospital?

Or does it just pass because the test showed negative?

I just feel lost I don't have anyone to turn too. X

I miscarried at almost 7 weeks last May. Started with spotting, tests got lighter I never had pain or significant bleeding (was abroad at the time)

Didn't find the gp here very helpful. Was pregnant again 3 months after and now have my DD. Rainbows do happen. Be kind to yourself and look after yourself x

@Annie1211 the hospital refused to see me at all cause I wasn’t soaking through pads and bleeding out or in severe pain. So I just took paracetamol at home and a nice hot bath and cried myself silly. The bleeding stopped after 5 days and I had a scan book for the day after the bleeding stopped. They confirmed it was a completed miscarriage and my tests where completely negative by then.

If you can’t afford a private scan then I would monitor bleeding and pain- if either or both get worse to the point u can’t manage at home then go down to epu or A&E. if the bleeding stops then keep taking tests until they are all completely negative. If they don’t go negative I’m about two weeks u may need to go to epu for a scan to make sure everything is cleared out. Sorry ur going through this. It’s not nice, but nothing u did caused this and normally it’s due to a chromosomal abnormality. And ur chances of having a normal pregnancy after this are still the same as those that haven’t had a loss. It’s also a good sign that ur body has been able to get pregnant xx

I did take a digital and it came up not pregnant straight away.

I've to phone a number tomorrow but really what will they do? Xx

@Annie1211 also digital tests require higher levels of hcg. So ur hcg has properly fell below the threshold for them... I think they mean to get more sensitive tests and use first morning urine after a hold so ur pee is concentrated to make sure the tests go negative cause if they don’t it could be that u are still pregnant or u may need help getting rid of the products of conception z
