Ok so this is going to sound strange but I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and this morning when I went to the toliet and wiped there was a snotty yellow tinged discharge , similar to what looked like a mucus plug but only a small amount ? Anyone else had something similar so early on ? Is this a sign for something more serious I suffered a MC last cycle and I'm just worrying about everything 😩

I had this throughout my first trimester - checked with the midwife and she said it was normal. Might be worth calling the GP so they call rule out a vaginal infection - even if it is, it can can solved pretty easily! Try not to worry too much xx

Not to be gross but your vagina will be like Slimer during your pregnancy. All that mucus helps keep nasty bacterial out of your womb etc and ruin your underwear.

The mucus plug is quite a lot of mucus!

@rachelrainbow hi lovely thankyou for replying yes I did ring my doctors but they basically just told me to monitor it 🤷🏼‍♀️ but yeah didn't think of it possibly being an infection but how would Infection even happen in the first place? Do you know?? But good to know that you had this and went on to have a healthy baby :)

@Laserbird16 yeah that's true I think I'm just over worrying about everything because of the MC I had last cycle , but yes the mucus plug is a lot more it certainly was with my son lol but that's what it looked like, like the same texture if you get me ? Was the only way I could describe it haha just guess it's worrying seeing any kind of discharge during pregnancy cuz 9/10 it's normal but then it could be something more serious :/

I have a scan booked Tuesday so hopfully I'll have the reassurance I need then :) x

@Mummy120494 I had something similar at around 11 weeks. It weirded me out no end, but it hasn't happened since and now I am 28 weeks (all is ok so far). I know what you mean about it being different from normal buckets of discharge one tends to get in pregnancy.

Mummy120494 · 09/08/2020 15:51

@Mc3209 hi there oh did you really! Yeah mine seemed to just be this mornings wipe but nothing since so I'm
Hoping that's a good sign! Never had anything like this with my first pregnancy and with me having a MC last cycle everything is just freaking me out even more than it would normally lol just want to get through the first trimester then I might actually start enjoying this pregnancy a bit more ! Yeah it was very unusual like I said only way I could describe it was the mucus plug but a lot smaller was very strange! But I hope the best for the rest of your pregnancy ! Is this your first ? X
