I'm 5w+3d. My whole body is a bit achy and just feel run down in general. Did anyone else get this?
A little worried that I'm coming down with something ☹️

It's pretty common to feel like that in the first trimester as your immune system weakens itself to prevent your body rejecting the baby so your going to be more prone to coughs and colds, stay hydrated and get plenty of rest x

Thank you so much!

I’ve never felt as run down and poorly in my life as very early pregnancy. It’s a running joke in my house that I would have made my partner take me to A&E if I hadn’t of had a positive pregnancy test. Feel better soon second trimester was lovely for me x

Yes, that was my first clue I was pregnant, I was cold and shivery for 3–4 days before the test.

Nazz10 · 09/08/2020 12:56

Thank you both! That's very reassuring.
@Phiphi123 I'm the exact same. I'm so dramatic when I feel rough 😂
I suppose it doesn't help with covid being around either. Got me thinking am I coming down with it?! But I haven't got a cough or temperature so I doubt it. Feel like I'm thinking into this too much 😂

Yes, I had flu like symptoms in my first trimester.

Me too. And super cold all the time. No longer cold now I'm 9 weeks and suffering this heat wave! Still feel like crap but ciest la vie! Hope you feel better soon x

I’m so exhausted I can’t physically get out of bed some days. Other times I run a really high fever , I’ve had this for about a week now. It does make you consider COVID simply because it’s in the news all the time. I have no cough though.
All food tastes disgusting to me , and I mean everything. I can only stomach water and bread at the moment. Hope this improves.
The headaches are fun as well.
Just have to remind myself I am growing another human being lol

Yeah i did; I remember saying to my sister that I thought I was coming down with something then few days later realised I was pregnant

Yorkshirepudding1987 · 09/08/2020 17:44

Yep in both pregnancies I've had what we refer to in our house as my 'pregnancy cold'

I spoke to my midwife and its pregnancy rhinitis. So bloody annoying. It went for the 2nd trimester and is back for the third!

Thank you so much ladies! Feeling very reassured now. The feeling worn off by late afternoon and woke up feeling ok-ish today.
First trimester joys 😆
