Sickness at 7 week

Hi ladies,

Just posting on here as I really don’t know what to do! I am 7 weeks tomorrow and have had 24/7 nausea and being sick around 10 times a day since last Friday. I can’t keep anything down and my stomach is so sore from the constant heaving. My GP prescribed me Cyclizine yesterday but I’m sure they have made me worse! I haven’t had a wee since this morning and every time I stand up I feel like I’m going to pass out.

I feel completely useless, I can’t look after my 2 children, my partner is probably beyond sick of me. I’m so fed up and I just don’t want to do. I’ve tried all the usual home remedies, have got anti sickness bands on but now help Sad

Any advice??

You poor thing! There is a wonderful hyperemesis support thread on here with lots of advice to be had from seasoned pukers.
Cyclizine is the first line medication but many women require second and third line drugs.

In the immediate term can you keep anything like dioralyte down? If your urine output is low and your are dizzy etc it sounds like you are getting pretty crispy and could probably do with some fluids and iv anti emetics. Can you go to A&E?

@Puddlelane123 thank you for your reply!
I will have a look for the thread and join the pukers

I can’t even keep water down, it’s awful! I think I’ll ring 111 and see what they say as you are right with the dehydration, my lips are dry and I normally can’t stop peeing but complete opposite today. I’ll ring them now, thank you x

Yes definitely give them a call. It becomes a vicious cycle as dehydration itself can cause vomiting. A couple of bags of fluids will make all the difference. Will hopefully see you on the Hyperemesis Support Thread.
