Am I miscarrying? (poss. TMI)

Morning everyone. I'm 5w into my 1st pregnancy and this morning when I went for a wee, I passed what looked like a clot around the size of a penny. That was about half an hour ago, and there's been no more bleeding. I'm still having pregnancy symptoms - really sore boobs, headache, mild cramps.

What I saw in the toilet really worries me. There's no explanation other than miscarriage, is there?

I think a clot could just be a clot. Why don't you call the Early Pregnancy Unit and see if they can see you today? I have everything crossed for you Flowers

Thanks. I live in Madrid and I don't think we have anything like that unfortunately. I think I've just passed a bit more tissue, so not looking good. Only when I wee though, which is strange. I'm so sad. Sad

You poor thing. Don't dispair yet. Are you Spanish or do you speak Spanish fluently? I'm not in the UK either so our system is different too. I had a quick look online and I'm just wondering if you're in the private or public system.

If you're in the public system it might be worth a visit to A & E. If you're attending one of the private hospitals in Madrid, contact their obatetrics department immediately

I'm British but married to a Spaniard and I've lived here for 10 years, so no probs with language. It's just that the health system here (usually excellent) is all up in the air with Covid, so I've only spoken to the GP and midwife by phone. I don't know if I'm supposed to go to hospital or what, I suppose there's not much point. It would have to happen on a Saturday when going to casualty is pretty much the only option. I'm certain now I'm miscarrying, there's been a lot more blood.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'm in hospital and am waiting for the gynaecologist now. I'll let you know what happens.

No luck, scan and test confirm no pregnancy. Is it weird that it actually feels worse when they tell you it was "just" a chemical pregnancy and there was probably no real foetus in the first place? She said it like it was supposed to make me feel better, but now I feel stupid as well as sad.

Not at all darling. My heart goes out to you. There's no "just" to this at all. It sounds like this was a very wanted pregnancy so your hopes and dreams were tied up in it. It was a very real pregnancy to you and your DH. I'm thinking of you x
