I'm 33 weeks on thinking about starting raspberry leaf tea but wanted to see if it helps or people's experiences?

Did nothing for me. Tried it with my third. She was the only one to be overdue.

Found it useless.
At 33 weeks I wouldn't be starting anything like that though
Babies come when they are ready

I drank it prior to my last labour. Induced at 37+5 and labour lasted 8 hours start to finish. Don’t know how much it helped but I’m not bothering this time (due in 4 weeks).

I’m 10 days overdue it’s doing nothing but I do just like the taste anyway Grin

I came to the conclusion that nothing helps, baby comes when they're ready.

Tried everything (other than sex because I was too miserable!) with DS, he was 13 days late in the end!

I've been drinking it since 36 weeks - sometimes hot, but mostly left to brew and then topped up with ice as it's been so hot!

38 weeks on Tuesday so we shall see! I thought it was one of the easier recommendations to help labour from the midwives 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

It's supposed to make for a shorter pushing stage. That's all.

It does not bring on labour or any other stuff people have heard.

mrs87 · 07/08/2020 16:49

I've started at 36 weeks but it's not intended to bring on labour sooner - it's to apparently shorten the second stage of labour once you're there. So not meant to do anything to make baby come sooner!
