Hey everyone,

What pram would you recommend for a newborn? Was going to go with Bugaboo Cameleon 3 but not sure if I want to spend so much on a pram when there’s other good alternatives.

I’ve heard good things about the city mini GT and found this little bundle which seems a good deal.

What’s everyone’s thoughts? Smile Anyone else have this pram? Thank you!

I absolutely love my bugaboo cameleon! It was a very extravagant purchase for us but in my opinion worth every penny

elscar · 07/08/2020 22:33

I've had both the bugaboo cam 3 and the baby jogger gt! My bugaboo lasted 2 children and still sold it on for around £300

Love bugaboo but basket is a nightmare to get into when in bassinet mode- and separate Chassis and seat unit can be annoying when putting in the car

LOVE my GT! So easy to manoeuvre and lasts until for ages- my ds is 2.5 and still has loads of room left!

Just to say- the link you have posted is for the city mini not the GT version- I've had both and would defo go for the GT!

Love my bugaboo cam! If you don’t mind not having brand new I picked mine up on a local selling page in fantastic condition for £190!

Uppababy Vista all the way.

I’ve also been looking at the ickle bubba. Seems a pretty good deal and not a fortune like the others. I seen a girl in the hospital with her new born in it yesterday and it was lovely.

I have the city mini gt2 for my toddler and will use it for next dc due in spring.
Had a few prams including big travel systems where you have to take the whole thing to bits to put it in the boot.
My baby jogger lays flat, folds in half with a tug on a strap and takes up far less room. I will be able to use it as a travel system for a newborn and just as easily swap them out into a sling if my toddler gets too tired to walk.
We live semi rurally and it’s brilliant! All my mum friends started off with bugs/icandys/sx and now have baby joggers.

We didn’t spend loads on anything except for a swivel car seat and a bugaboo cam. I can honestly say I regret neither. The bugaboo has lasted 5+ years and two children and been taken through woods and chucked in the boot many times. It is easy to put together, so sturdy and apart from needing a clean, looks as new. Compared to others I really notice how light it is to steer which is surprising given how strong it is.

I didn’t use it much as a pram in the end though as found using a sling easier. As a push chair, it has been brilliant.

I had the silver cross wave, it was lovely but a bit heavy (it can be used as a double but we haven’t had another). We have moved on to a City mini GT and it is great! It is so easy to push and manoeuvre, the hood comes down really low, there’s lots of space in the basket and the handbrake is much easier than a foot one once you get the hang of it. The tray would be handy too.

I've tried loads and the Oyster 3 wins hands down for me. It also won travel system of the year last year...if that's not a glowing review I don't know what is!

Bugaboo Cameleon here. Love it - on my second DC with it now.
