34 weeks and stomach pains - is it braxton hicks or trapped wind

since weekend i have been having period like pains and have been very emotional carying at everybody and everything . Am completely uncomfortable asnd the pain kept me awake last night.

DS1 was induced at 37 weeks so i have no idea how these things start. Am finding it difficult to walk becuase my crotch hurts so much and am feeling very sorry for myself.
can any one tell me what braxton hicks feel like ?

it could be either. braxton hicks tended to have a pattern

I think that braxton hicks feel different from person to person (why does that not surprise us). I have had some BH and it was more a tightening feeling across my bump, normally uncomfortable more than sore.

I have been told that period pain like feeling can be the onset of labour so i would give your mw a phone or contact the hospital. They might get you in to check you over, this would at least put your mind at ease.

sounds as though you might have spd, as that gives you pain in your crotch area

period pains are par for the course, but if you are worried, or the pains are getting worse, see your MW,

a bath and a couple of paracetomal should help ease things

My braxton hicks were just like the bump tightening - they did not hurt. I was also induced at 37 weeks so I don't know how things start either!
