Convinced I'm having a silent miscarriage!

Honestly the amount of time I post on here is unreal 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ I just have no one else to talk to. My OH doesn't understand my worries and wants everything to be a wonderful positive experience🙄

I'm 8 weeks and 4 days, since about 8 weeks I've noticed most of my symptoms have disappeared.. no more nausea at all, boobs aren't really sore anymore, just don't feel pregnant whatsoever.

I had a scan at 6 weeks 2 days and everything was perfect, right place, heart beat present and was a nice heart rate at 125bpm which is apparently really good for how far along I am.

I had a mc back in April at 6 weeks so although this time is a lot different with no bleeding, I'm still anxiety ridden.

I've got a reassurance scan booked in Sunday so have to wait it out until then, I've just got it in my mind now that they're gonna tell me baby's heart stopped beating around 7 weeks 😕

Anyone else experienced this and had a positive outcome?

I had a silent miscarriage in May where baby stopped growing at 9 weeks.

I fell pregnant again with no period. I had a scan 2 week ago where I was 6+5. The day after my scan all my symptoms disappeared. I was so worried it was happening again. I've just had a scan thia morning and baby is growing perfect.

I know it's hard but try to stay positive. I've spent the last 2 weeks making my self sick with worry. Symptoms can come and go

MizMoonshine · 06/08/2020 11:11

Morning.

I've experienced a loss of symptoms around 8 weeks in two pregnancies. One, unfortunately, was a MMC. The second time, I expressed my concerns to the midwife and was sent right to the EPU for reassurance... That pregnancy is now 37 weeks.

I understand that this is a highly anxious time for you, and your past experience isn't helping. But there is no way of knowing without knowing. Stress will do you no good and, if your baby is still growing away in there, it will do them no good either.

Try your best to relax until your reassurance scan. If you're really working yourself up about it, contact your midwife and see if you can get a scan at the hospital.

Good luck.

@Sho2207 it’s so hard when symptoms come and go. Currently 8 weeks too & I’m having another scan next week too. I’m really looking forward to my 12 week scan at beginning of September so I can start to let myself get excited!! x

Sho2207 · 06/08/2020 11:33

Thanks for replying ladies, my positives are I'm still getting my normal back/hip pain that I've been having throughout this pregnancy.

I'm praying everything will be ok, I just feel like I've had it way too easy for this pregnancy to progress. Trying to stay positive is just so hard. Just want it to be Sunday so I can know what's going on

@Sho2207 I am feeling the same. Good luck for Sunday x

Sho2207 · 06/08/2020 12:37

@MsK2be89
Have you had many symptoms this pregnancy?
Thank you!
I know it's normal for them to come and go but I just feel like I haven't had many symptoms for around 4 days now and each day I feel better x

@Sho2207 mine are so hit and miss, some days I feel fine, for example at the weekend I did DIY jobs round the house but other days I feel crap! Had spotting the last 2 weeks too. I’ve got to go in for a 9 week scan next Wednesday so trying not to feel too much until then. This is my first pregnancy and I never knew how worrying the first 12 weeks could be!

MichelleOR84 · 06/08/2020 13:37

I had a silent miscarriage and found out at 9 weeks after spotting . My baby never developed past 5/6 weeks . My HCG levels were actually fine though ( right on track for 9/10 weeks) and I had all the symptoms up until I fully miscarried . Funny enough I’m 25 weeks pregnant now and had absolutely no symptoms at all my first trimester. Silent miscarriages are so devastating. There are no real signs as symptoms can come and go ( or not come at all ) in any pregnancy. Try not to overthink it if you can 😬
P.S. except I totally did overthink it myself . I booked myself a couple of early pregnancy scans privately to reassure myself .

Sho2207 · 06/08/2020 13:40

@MsK2be89
Yeah mine are so on and off, one that definitely hasn't left is my energy, I cannot be bothered to do anything 🤦🏻‍♀️

From finding out I was pregnant again to now, it's been the number one thing I constantly think about. I'm obsessed with it. Just want everything to be ok. I almost feel like once I've had my 9 week scan I'm gonna end up booking another scan for 11 weeks depending on when I get my dating scan booked in for.

Good luck for your scan! Let me know how it goes x

Same as pp,I had this happen twice, one ended in a mmc and the other in what is now my 2yo dd.

I would say that the time it happened in the mmc I felt the symptoms go in the space of about 2 weeks and I just honestly instinctively felt something was wrong. Second time the symptoms disappeared, only to rear back up twice as horrible within a few days.

Good luck for sunday op

Sho2207 · 06/08/2020 13:46

@MichelleOR84
It's so hard to know what's going on isn't it! Pregnancy is such a rollercoaster of emotions! I think once I've hit the 12 week mark, have my dating scan and start to show then I may calm down a little.

I don't think I could cope mentally if I have another miscarriage so soon after the one in April, especially now I've seen baby and everything looked so good

@DaisyDoo1919
Thank you!
I'm hoping that it's just my body getting used to the hormones and I'm just one of the lucky ones 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had very minimal symptoms my first trimester, and whole weeks would go by where I had none at all. I was permanently worried I’d had a silent miscarriage - was absolutely convinced there wouldn’t be a heartbeat at the 12 week scan. I’m now almost 22 weeks and everything is totally fine - the baby is doing well, no issues at all.

It’s such a worrying time but the odds of everything being ok are massively in your favour!

Sho2207 · 06/08/2020 16:42

@TheAquaticDuchess
I've heard that the odds of not having a miscarriage are really in my favour due to seeing such a strong heart beat but I'm still just so petrified of getting bad news on Sunday.

I'm feeling a little better after hearing others experiences, especially yours due to it being positive haha. I just need to try keep myself busy so I'm not just sitting here waiting for Sunday. I think I'm still getting a few symptoms I just don't really count them as symptoms because there the little ones like backache, tired, congested etc

I'm 23weeks now and keep thinking ive had a SMC or something had happened especially when you don't feel them move as often as you did.. i don't think it ever goes the way the worry.. maybe I'm wrong but I'm always scared something might happen...

Sho2207 · 06/08/2020 18:15

@rykar
I almost feel like I might become a serial scanner and just always book private scans 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
WheresMyMilk · 06/08/2020 18:17

I am very lucky and have had two pregnancies, both ended up with a baby at the end. Both times my symptoms totally disappeared at 8/9 weeks and never came back. I was really worried but I think it’s quite common. There’s every chance it’s nothing to worry about in your case though I know nothing except the scan can stop the worry. Best of luck on Sunday and please let us know how you get on Flowers

rykar · 06/08/2020 18:29

@sho2207 yea we had a private scan at 16weeks and then 4 weeks after that we had the 20wk scan and 22wk scan as she didnt behave in the first one.. now technically there's nothing till 36... which i think freaked me out.. we have a private one on 29wks.. its a worrying time pregnancy I dont get how some people are so relaxed and love it lol I hope ur scan goes well which I'm sure it will 😊

Sho2207 · 06/08/2020 19:28

@WheresMyMilk
I've also heard it can be very common which makes me feel better, but not 100% better haha. Thank you! I'll hopefully be attaching a cute jelly bean photo 🥰

Sho2207 · 06/08/2020 19:38

@rykar
I'm so tempted to book a scan for 11 weeks if I don't have my dating scan then 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm jealous of the women who can get pregnant and then also forget about being pregnant in the early stages due to just not worrying haha

Sho2207 · 08/08/2020 13:29

Just an update, I feel my nausea starting to come back and my appetite is really kicking in now. Was physically sick yesterday morning due to constant gagging for no reason and this morning had to run downstairs to make myself breakfast because I could feel myself starting to gag again haha.

Boobs still aren't hurting as much, getting a few aches and twinges around my pelvic/hip area.
I don't wanna get my hopes up and think everything's ok just in case, I've still got my doubts but I am in a more positive state now.

I just want to get tomorrow over and done with now, I want to know if everything's ok.
We was gonna visit my mum tomorrow and tell her the good news, but now I'm worried that I won't be able to do it. Definitely won't be getting a lot of sleep tonight 😩

WheresMyMilk · 08/08/2020 13:35

Happy that you’re feeling sick again, in the nicest possible way Grin

Sho2207 · 08/08/2020 13:54

@WheresMyMilk
It's very odd how I feel so happy to be throwing up and feeling sick 😂 pregnancy does some strange things to us haha

Little jelly bean nicely cooking in there 🥰 measuring 1 day further at 9w1d.

So so over the moon, we saw a little movement too which just made me so emotional haha. They didn't measure the heartbeat which I would have liked but it's still beating so I couldn't ask for much more!
