Hi

I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem?

Im 34 weeks and keep going all faint and feeling like I need to be sick (never actually sick though)

This has been going on for about 6 weeks, my midwife doesn't seem too concerned as BP isn't high and I've been tested negative for anaemia 🤷🏼‍♀️

I make sure I keep snacking and I'm always hydrated, not sure what else to do but it's starting to become a massive inconvenience as I have to lay down for about half an hour to feel normal again - I am home alone with 2 year old which worries me as I usually feel it coming on and manage to lay down in time before falling but I'm scared it's going to catch me off guard one day and hurt bump or scare my son!

If anyone has any tips on how to avoid these spells from coming on it would be greatly appreciated xx

Hmm does sound a lot like anaemia. Do you know what your haemoglobin level is exactly?

Only I have a lot of experience with anemia, I seem to be very sensitive to it. Most doctors say ‘low’ is below 115, But If mine dips below about 119, I really feel awful and have to take supplements. As soon as I take them I feel better.

Also when did you last have a blood test - if it’s a few weeks ago, things can have changed?

My nausea returned at 25 weeks and I get a bit dizzy in the mornings too. I find I get more dizzy if I'm nauseous.
I find lying down for a minute or two whilst it passes helpful. I find it best to do this as soon as I suspect I'm a bit dizzy. I'm a dizzy person in general and rarely have I fainted without having a warning that I'm about to go. Try to stay calm, cool, hydrated and fed. Move slowly especially if going from sitting/lying down to standing.

Thankyou for your replies :)
They checked my bloods about 2 weeks ago, I had a midwife appointment on Monday and told her that I was fainting a lot more and she kind of just shrugged it off as a pregnancy symptom and said take it easy 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have another appointment next week so I think I will ask for it to be looked at again if it keeps happening.
