Vests - winter baby

Baby will be mainly in babygrows for the first few months because I just think they’re comfy and cute. I’m not really one for fussy outfits on babies lol but should I stock up on long sleeved or short sleeved vests or a mixture of both in the smaller sizes?

I'd get a mixture of both.

I found short sleeved much easier under sleepsuits. Two lots of long arms is a faff!

I prefer short sleeves as long sleeves tend to bundle up

I found short sleeve were best - we had some long sleeve ones for very cold days but had the heating on all the time in the house so baby was never too chilly.

Get a mix. Although for nighttime we had grosuits which had thick padded arms - so much easier than trying to get a sleepsuit over a long sleeved vest!

I think the short ones are best for use as a vest under something else. So for newborn up to 0-3 sizes you probably want mainly short sleeve ones. But from 3 months onwards when you’re more likely to want to start putting baby in outfits at least some of the time the long sleeve ones are nice with a pair of soft trousers or dungarees. Normally still with a short sleeve vest underneath if it’s winter.
