TTC after a d&c

Hi , I recently had a d&c after miscarriage at 8 weeks. I forgot to ask the doctor when I can start trying again. Do you need to wait for another period or is it okay not to? Thanks!

Doctor told me to wait for one period before teting again, although lots say it is purely for dating purposes.

My period arrived 1 month after d&c xx

Wait for one cycle to make sure everything is back to normal is what I was told.
