PCOS and dating a pregnancy

So I have irregular cycles, but this month managed to pin down ovulation to day 23 of my cycle. I'm now 16 DPO and 100% pregnant (whoo!), but obviously if I go by date of my last period, I'm actually 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant. However, as I conceived so late in the cycle my fetal age will be about a week behind my gestational age.

I had a bleed and one sided pain yesterday and ended up having an early scan, but nothing was detected except a thick womb lining and an internal exam showed my cervix was closed. My HCG level was 152. That to me seems more consistent with 16dpo rather than 5+4, so would make sense but I'm just checking that's how it works?

They’ll date you at 12 week scan but before that you’ll be a bit in the dark. But yes, you should be ‘behind’ for dates and doesn’t mean anything is wrong.

I have PCOS and am 40+4 currently. Honestly would have no idea and could not work it out so just had to wait until I had my scan, no idea when I ovulated or how long my cycle was! Good luck! X
