I am trying to fill in a form - how much is it you get from the government once you have a baby?

depends on your income for tax credits. are you meaning child benefit? that's roughly £20 a week for 1st child.

maybe I mean that - the one you get automatically. I am not at the tax credit form yet - ugh I hate all these forums - they are seriously confusing.

Assuming you mean child benefit... the rate is £18.10 per week for your first child
