32 weeks and reduced movement again!
Followed by a nose bleed (my first ever!) and high blood pressure on arrival at the hospital!
I swear my unborn son is trying to send me over the edge!!!
Fingers crossed all is well. Just strapped up to the monitors and my lovely MW is also sending my for a scan!
No point to the post just wanting to vent as my poor DH is sitting outside waiting for me! It's time like this that they should let him be with me! I understand why but it's scary being on your own 😭😭😭

@lockdownpregnancy how stressful for you! I really hope both you and baby are ok. I'm pregnant too and I agree it's scary having to go on your own. Hope all the staff are kind and reassure you xx

AlviesMam · 02/08/2020 17:56

This journey is so stressful isn't it!
Do you have an anterior placenta?
I was in a few days back for reduced movement and my blood pressure and heart rate was also high. Today she's been quiet but just got a few kicks out of her then.
My placenta is anterior and I don't know when to ring MAU as now I feel like she has a few quiet days in a row now it's stressful :(

lockdownpregnancy · 02/08/2020 18:09

My placenta is high and at the front so I think that's anterior?? I'm not sure on the medical terminology for it.
Just waiting in the doctor now and results of my scan, so hopefully all is well 🤞🤞🤞

AlviesMam · 02/08/2020 18:36

Yes mine is exactly the same place high and at the front. Hope all is ok keep us updated! X

lockdownpregnancy · 02/08/2020 19:34

Home finally! They were so thorough and so lovely! Baby is transverse with head down pointing upwards which is most bizarre they said but I've always been slightly awkward so I'm not surprised my baby is as well! 😂
He's growing really well and just over the average line with his growth.
They are having me in every 2-3 days for monitoring because this was my second episode and they have said that until he goes back in to his normal pattern that I've been used to for months now and only then will they stop the checks. Nice to know they are keeping a close eye on me and baby!
I'm home now and DH has ordered us a take away as a treat after the last few hours! 🤪🤪

@lockdownpregnancy great to hear!! Now enjoy ur takeout and relax Smilexxx

lockdownpregnancy · 02/08/2020 19:54

Fish & Chips @AlviesMam yum yum!
Whilst I don't want my baby to make an appearance just yet, I'll be glad when he does show up so I can keep an eye on him myself! 😂

AlviesMam · 02/08/2020 19:57

Mmmmm I had them the other day enjoy!
I've just had Sunday lunch... I'm 27 weeks and not in a pattern yet but felt her a few times today and I see the midwife in a few days so trying not to over think. I have a growth scan next week too so looking forward to seeing baby on the screen again! High front placentas cause so much anxiety!! 😔 xxx

lockdownpregnancy · 02/08/2020 21:30

@AlviesMam I didn't even know mine was in the wrong place! I don't know where it should be to be fair! 🤦🏻‍♀️
They are just happy that it's not low lying (for obvious reasons)!
My lil babba still hasn't moved a lot since I got home!
I have a midwife apt tomorrow and then back to the hospital on Tuesday so at least I'm being checked out the next couple of days 👍🏻

OP posts:
AlviesMam · 02/08/2020 21:45

It's not in the wrong place!
If you search anterior placenta you will see it's normal but we feel less movement than others that don't have one!
Yes that's very comforting your getting looked after! :) xxx

lockdownpregnancy · 02/08/2020 21:52

Ooooohhhh ok @AlviesMam that's good to know! I'm a FTM so have no idea! 🙈
I'm just glad it's not low as that would be concerning!
I know I've (amongst all you other lovely mommas to be) had to do this pregnancy alone when it comes to hospital appointments, scans etc, it's nice to have such a lovely thorough MAU, even if I am there all by myself!
My DH saw one woman get dropped off earlier and she was in labour. DH was outside the hospital waiting for me and he said the poor bloke just looked so lost having to stay outside and to leave his partner to go in alone! He said he just really hopes he can come in with me when I do go into labour! I do too!! 🤞🤞🤞

OP posts:
AlviesMam · 02/08/2020 22:08

Yeah I'm a FTM too!! Just hoping this baby gives me some stronger kicks soon. I have a growth scan next week so excited to see her again! It's good they are looking after you and monitoring you more. I'm not in a pattern yet so feel stupid on when to ring as I don't even know what reduced movement is with this random movement!! I was monitored Thursday night and all was ok but still not much stronger since then xxx

AlviesMam · 02/08/2020 22:09

I'm sure our partners will be allowed in soon. They are definitely allowed in when I'm active
Labour xxx

2020AUG · 02/08/2020 22:34

I feel your pain OP, I've been in so many times for reduced movement, I'm being induced on Wed at 39 weeks. I have an anterior placenta but most of the time I have really strong movements and baby is really active, but then they will just suddenly stop or slow down. Fortunately everything has been fine each time and the midwives have been lovely, but it is so stressful. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

lockdownpregnancy · 02/08/2020 22:37

Thank you @2020AUG mine is like that too. He's such an active baby that when it changes all of a sudden and he goes quiet, it becomes quite alarming!
Good luck with being induced! I hope everything goes well for you! 💐💐💐

OP posts:
AlviesMam · 02/08/2020 22:42

@2020AUG is it to do with the anterior placenta on why they suddenly go quiet?
I have another 14 weeks of this worry Sad

Mc3209 · 02/08/2020 22:46

Mine has been on a quieter side for the past 2 days. Just when I get worried enough to pick up a phone to call in, he kicks and does a little wriggle. So I haven't actually called the triage yet.. 27 weeks today. But it is definitely unsettling when he has quiet days.
@lockdownpregnancy I am glad they are keeping an eye on things for you.

lockdownpregnancy · 03/08/2020 09:55

@Mc3209 if she isn't moving as much as normal you should still go get checked over just to put your mind at rest.
My lil man had a shuffle this morning but that's it and he's usually on the go all morning, he's just still really quiet which is worrying even though they told me yesterday he was ok.
I have my MW apt a little later this morning so Ill explain what's been going on and I know she'll check baby anyway!
I can't take the stress which I know doesn't help baby either! Can't win can you! 😫😫

OP posts:
2020AUG · 03/08/2020 17:26

@alviesMam I don't know, I can feel the baby all over my stomach and you can see the movement so clearly even where the placenta is so the midwife doesn't think its the anterior placenta. I also had movements from 17 weeks so it didn't affect how early I felt kicks. I think maybe my baby is just awkward and likes to give us some scares!
Hopefully as the baby gets bigger you won't have any more reduced movement 🤞.

lockdownpregnancy · 04/08/2020 07:44

@2020AUG my lil man still isn't as active 3 days on! So scary!
I feel the odd thing but from having a baby that's always on the go to a total change in pattern has really thrown me! I'm exhausted with worry!!!
I have my monitoring appointment today anyway so I'll be having another chat with MW about it all! 😫

OP posts:
Mc3209 · 04/08/2020 07:53

@lockdownpregnancy best of luck with your appointment today. Everything crossed all is well!

Mine is back to normal from yesterday. I think he moved position. Now his kicks are all over the belly, whether before in his quiet days, the kicks I felt were in my bladder..

lockdownpregnancy · 04/08/2020 11:28

Awwwwww that's good @Mc3209 more movement is always better than less! It's nice to know they are happy in there! I've just got to the hospital so fingers crossed all is well! I'm sure he's fine and just wants to play with my stress levels and anxiety! 😂
