Silly question about Weeks & DPO!

This might be a silly question, but I am confusing myself!

I'm 5 weeks today and 23 dpo, but I know because of cycle length some people could be 14dpo and 5 weeks pregnant...

So when you see the videos of 'your baby at x weeks' are they really right?

Do people catch up eventually / slow down? If 2 people with different cycle lengths both get scanned at the 8 week mark, is this where the difference in measurements come from? 😬

I know it doesn't really have an impact but I'm really curious! Thank you to anyone with insight ☺️

You can measure from your conception date too.

Use the nhs due date calculator as that dates me as being 6 weeks today instead of 6+4 based on first day of last period

Dating from last period is based on you ovulating on day 14 of your cycle which not everybody does.

So if you're like me and ovulate on cd18/19 then you're 4-5 days out which based on nhs calculator is accurate.

I think so anyway.

Essentially you can't be sure until you have scans and they'll date you based on measurements properly

It's my understanding that all babies grow at the same rate pretty much, up to a certain point, hence how they can date you based on measurements.

Thank you both!
