When did you first feel baby move?

I'm 15+2 and a first time mum and was just wondering when you felt baby moving for the first time? I'm very aware it could be a while yet but am hating this limbo in between scans not knowing if baby is okay.. I have a private scan booked for 18+2 but wondered what the chances are of feeling movement before then is!?
Thanks x

Felt bubbles from 19 weeks, proper kicks from 22 weeks. Same with both but I had small babies

It really varies! I just hate the not knowing if everything is going okay, I've got 3 weeks until my scan and need to find ways/things to distract myself! Hopefully I'll feel something before then otherwise I'll just panic like I did before my dating scan (was so sure they're we're going to tell me there was nothing there 😅)
Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences!

Iv felt little bubbles last week at 14 weeks. The other day I lay on my back in bed and felt a hard ish ball shape just appear under my belly button. It was all hard and rest of belly soft was surprising to feel that and not feel baby moving.

14-15 weeks I could definitely feel movement. My family could also feel kicks on the outside at 16-17 weeks. I caught it on camera even. Wasn’t expecting it that early, particularly as I have an anterior placenta!

So the last 3 days I've had bubbles/rolling type feelings... Can I get my hopes up yet!? 😅 I just want to know it's definitely the baby (which I know you can't actually tell me) I hate the not knowing that comes with the start of the second trimester!

I’m 20+4 and don’t think I’ve felt anything yet - some bubbles but how are you supposed to know if that’s baby?! Certainly nothing like a kick. Really hope I feel something more clear soon, very jealous of people feeling things as early as 14 and 15 weeks!

GoshHashana · 12/08/2020 08:11

I have anterior placenta, and didn't feel proper movements until around the time of my 20 week scan. However, I'd felt bubbles and pops for the few weeks leading up to it. Wasn't sure if it was wind at first!

Floulou20 · 12/08/2020 08:47

I had the bubble type feelings from about 16 weeks it deffo wasn't gas 🤣
I'm 19+3 now and I feel baby move quite a lot mostly at night when I'm laying down or sitting still, kicks and rolling movements like summersaults even my hubbs got to feel a kick the other day. Can't wait to feel more as he gets bigger (although I might be cursing myself for saying that when he's jabbing me in the ribs 😂)

FTM. Felt wiggling sensations in week 16 and then define kicks in week 19

Pol96 · 12/08/2020 09:43

@SarahFrances89 that's the problem, I don't know either! 😅 I hope you feel something you know is baby soon

Still hoping for a more definite movement before my next scan, otherwise I'll be an anxious mess again...

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow so 🤞

First baby - 22 weeks (kicks) posterior placenta.
Second baby - 13 weeks (flutters) posterior placenta.
Third baby - 10 weeks (flutters) not sure with this one yet but assuming posterior placenta as I felt movement that early 17+5 now and feeling proper kicks.

AlviesMam · 13/08/2020 08:35

@Pol96

Don't worry yourself over moments at this stage, I felt bubbles from 18 weeks and no strong defined movements until 27 weeks xx

Pol96 · 24/08/2020 10:59

Thanks everyone, been feeling it a bit more now and had my private scan on Saturday.. Its a boy! 💙 And they said I've got a posterior placenta so definitely could be feeling him!
