Hello,

I have booked in privately for an early scan. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Do I need to do anything or take anything with me?

Just wanting to hear some of your experiences xx

First piece of advice is have a full bladder, they can see a clearer picture of your womb then.

Please don't panic if the dates measure out this early on, there's so many stories on here of people who have went to an early scan and measured out and really panicked. Most do turn out to be fine!! A few mm can through the measurements off a lot at this early stage.

They may offer an internal if they cant get a clear picture, just so you're prepared for this.

I had one at 7 ish weeks and it was lovely to hear the heartbeat! All the best for yours 💕

How ‘early’ will you be?

I had a scan at 4,5,6 & 7 weeks and they all varied massively!

I had one at 8 weeks. Just have a full bladder and that's all you need! It wasn't internal and I saw baby and heartbeat just fine 🥰
