I know there have been loads of recommendations for this and I really like the idea of it

But husband has been debating how useful it actually is and whether a blanket would be just as good.

If you've had one how handy was it and for what? I'm thinking car seat and sling?

Also did you get much use out of it in the first few months? I'm not sure whether to get 0-4 months or 4-10 months. I'm told you're not out much in the first few months..it will be an early Nov baby!

I would definitely get one for an early November baby. Any kind of shaped blanket/wrap is better than a standard blanket for the pram or car seat, regular blankets fall off so easily and you will spend a lot of time adjusting them, the wrap is much easier. I also have a Morrk blanket which is genius.

You go out as much as you want to! If you like crisp winter walks, or getting wrapped up in waterproofs and going out on a rainy day, you can still do that with the baby! Obviously stay at home if you want but fresh air and a change of scene can make a real difference to everyone’s mood. If you’re an active, social person then staying at home for a few months won’t suit you!

I've got a few waiting to use with my 2nd DD who is due late Sept. I hadn't heard of them when I had 1st DD so relied on blankets, which was a bit of a faff to be honest. Always feeling like I needed to retuck them round her. Worried she was warm enough in her carseat but still safe. With the T&C wraps you know they are safe to go from house or pram straight to carseat. I managed to find buy mine off of ebay. Excellent, used condition and approx about £5 each, plus postage. Means I could afford to get a smaller one and a bigger one x

I love mine. Going to buy the next size up too for winter. Great for the car seat, sling and push chair. I like the towel too.

Best thing ever. Trying to shove a baby into a coat or snow suit is a nightmare- the star wraps make it so easy. Everyone in my baby group bought one after seeing my smugly pop DS in his while they struggled with zips and poppers. We used it all the time in the pram or carrier plus I think you can use them in car seats unlike coats etc.

I used mine for all 3 of mine - definitely worth every penny!

Best thing we got (also for a November baby), so snuggly and easy to get on even when they get a bit bigger and wriggler! We had a 0-4 and a 4-10 and used both loads! Trying to work out if she’ll still tolerate me putting her in on this coming winter when she’ll be 1

Absolutely get. It's more an alternative to a snow suit than a blanket.

I got one on eBay for seven quid after seeing recommendations on here. Baby isn't here yet but I can already imagine getting lots of use out of it.

Also got mine from eBay for about a fiver- really handy for strolls out in the pram. DS looked like a little starfish

They are brilliant and I used mine loads. It will be a very worthwhile investment for a November baby, starting with the journey home from hospital. Babies kick off blankets and they can't wear a blanket in a sling. It's snow suits which are useless for newborns.

I’m also looking at getting one of these and I was wondering about the sizing. We’re in mainland Europe so will likely need it from early October when DS is 3m. Would the 4m one be to big on him? I appreciate babies are different sizes - DS is very average at the moment

My baby was in hers from 3 months so I'd say you'd be fine. It was just long on her legs but that was fine.

Oh I've been considering this too for my mid October baby. Did you buy a specific brand one?
