Baby moving 10 weeks

Has anyone else thought they've been able to feel baby move around at 10 weeks? I didn't feel anything with my first until 18+ weeks but I didn't know what to feel. I can't feel kicks or anything just a bubble feeling. I also am 100% sure it's twins 🤣🤣 (no scan yet)

I had bubbles really early on but I think that was just bloat! 😂 I felt my first proper movement around 18 weeks if I remember rightly.
Baby is so small still it's unlikely what you are feeling is baby. But you never know! Stranger things have happened! And if you are having twins I would imagine it's double bubble! Literally! How exciting if it's twins! 😁😁😁

It’s obvious, isn’t it? You are having Lucifer’s baby. (Sorry I am watching Supernatural these days) Grin

I had symptoms very early on, a strong positive pregnancy test 5 days before period was due, I'm dreaming of twins and everything I see is twins haha! Yeah I doubt it's baby it's just a nice thought. I've been very bloated too so probably just wind 🙄

I felt movement at 10/11 weeks and thought I could be further along than I was (I'd thought I was pregnant the month before but test was negative). Midwife said I was measuring correctly for my dates. They forgot to book me in for my 12 week scan so it was done at 14 weeks where they discovered twins

ivfdreaming · 31/07/2020 21:36

I AM 10 weeks with twins today and also had a scan this afternoon when one of them was wriggling around and kicking up a storm - couldn't feel a thing

Ahh really how lush. I'm 10 weeks today and not got my 12 week scan until I'm 13+3 feels like forever away! my mother had fraternal twins and my grandmother had 2 sets. I just have a feeling it's weird

Oh yes I'm pretty sure I felt movements at 10 weeks too. Little bubble/tickles.

ivfdreaming · 31/07/2020 22:25

I think it if was twins you'd know about it by now - I have very noticeable bump - look more like 5 months than 10 weeks

Yeah I have abit of a bump but but it down to bloating. I'm larger anyways so don't think you would tell. No way to know until scan

Yeah it's only a night time when I'm lying down relaxed. Even if it's not I'm gonna pretend it is!

@huntercakex probably on the early side and there are a lot of sensations that go on anyway.

I had ‘kicks’ at 12 weeks on number 1. They were like little brush strokes, that got stronger and eventually turned into kicks. He was quite a kicker. He is now 2.5 and still with the kicking!

I’ve just has my BFP for number 2 and can’t wait to feel the little sensations again.

Happy pregnancy to you!

I was bigger at the beginning with my son than the twins (which was why when they told me it was twins it was a huge shock as I hadn't even entertained the idea).

Huntercakex - My twins are 10 now. They told me at the hospital that it runs down the mother's side of the family (although my mum nor my grandmother had twins but one of my grandmother's sister's had identical twins). Exciting. Maybe if you've just got that feeling you never know. I hope you come back to the thread and let us know if you're feeling was right when you've had your scan

If you are feeling things at 10 weeks it’ll be wind. The earliest you’d be able to feel anything would be about 16 weeks and then it might only be the bubbling feeling. I think I was 18-20 weeks with my first 2, maybe even slightly over 20 weeks with the first. I’m currently 10 weeks with our 3rd, not anticipating I’ll feel anything for a while yet.

@footballfootball identical twins don’t run in families, it’s a random event where the egg splits hence they are identical. Fraternal twins are when the mother releases 2 eggs and do run in families (although if you are older you can just release 2 eggs as you approach menopause). I have triplets in my family and my husband has triplet siblings and a twin aunty and uncle so when I got pregnant the first time I revisited y9 biology to understand whether my chances of twins were increased, I was worried! The husband only passes on the gene but can’t express it (as he doesn’t ovulate!) this is why it only matters if the woman has fraternal twins/triplets in her family. I had a scan with our third last week and felt a huge sense of relief there was only 1!

Sorry I didn't explain myself well. My consultant explained it to me that non- identical twins run in families but identical twins are a freak of nature (his exact words 😂😂). I just thought as the OP's mother and grandmother had fraternal twins there's probably a high chance she may have twins too. Gin, I can imagine your relief. Hope your pregnancy goes well
