Got terrible mouth ulcers and a numb tongue, like it has been burnt. Its very sore. Anyone any ideas on how to fix it?
Got other late pregnancy symptoms too, back ache, trouble sleeping, huge braxton hicks etc etc, expected those, had them with dd, but the mouth thing is new and it really hurts!

I think the doc can prescribe a funny cream thing to put on the ulcers-it really works. in my first pg i had them late, i was just so run down i think!

Oh my goodness, that is so wierd! Am 34 weeks pregnant and have had the exact same thing. Ulcers all around the edge of my tongue, loss of taste and very sore...in fact so sore had trouble reading dd's stories at night because they get worse throughout! Went to doc who said it was a virus as suddenly dh had same thing. Apparently nothing can cure it...a question of time and being run down, he said it might go after birth...yeah right...how exasperating is that?!....but I've found gargling with salt water the most soothing thing and helped to get rid of them. Only have the occasional one now at back of tongue. Sounds gross, is gross, but does really help, give it a try!

Liqorice is good for ulcers / mouth burns etc.

DH swears by it
