Knitted hat

Random question but I watched a hospital 'what to pack in your hospital bag' video earlier and they said a knitted hat for baby. I knew to bring hats but do they need to be a knitted/wool style or just any hats? I know lots of newborn clothes come with cotton hats? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just took cotton ones, but the hospital generally pops their own knitted one on immediately after birth.

I got a couple of cotton hats as assumed that's eat they'd put on in the hospital

I got a little knitted hat for the journey home as it's a winter baby
