December babies?

Hi everyone was just wondering if there is anyone else due around Christmas time or December,

I'm currently 18+5 and due on the 26th of December !

Everyone I know that is pregnant right now is either due October/November or January/February, so much so that my family keeps making jokes that I just had to be the only person to have an awkward baby🙄

So just curious if there is anyone else who actually is having a December baby and wants to just have general chat about their pregnancy so far etc
Feeling a bit lonely as don't have any pregnant friends to go through this with ConfusedBlush

@catnip99 Hi! I am due 8th Dec with a girl. This is my 3rd and I have a boy and girl already. My other daughter has her birthday 27th Dec. At my dating scan Sonographer said December will be an expensive month for you and I said well it already is haha

There is a nice group on here called November/December babies.

I was not planning on buying much this early as no where to store it yet as her furniture is still in flat pack but got given loads of clothes , a baby play gym and Moses basket so now our bedroom looks like a shop!! We put a deposit on a pram we liked last weekend too so I def starting to feel we prepared now!

@alphabetti hi! Thank you I'll have to take a look!Grin
This is my first baby, found out a week ago that I'm having a boy!

I've got 7 nephews so one of my sisters brought me round what felt like a truck load of baby clothes so I think I'm more than set for that, fiancés nan also bought us some stair gates and a Moses basket and his mum got us a travel system that's due to arrive in September, it's crazy I have no space for any of this, might have to move out and let the baby have our bedroom at this rate hahah

I didn't want to be left short and really only have little bits left to get now which is nice, just a waiting game for December now!

I'm due 25th December! Second baby for us, DD is 9 month so will be a 14 month age gap between the 2. Main positive is that I already have everything ready for the new baby, especially if it's another girl!

@Hannah9176 ahhh that's so cool we are 1 day apart Smile how have you found going to appointments during covid?

@catnip99 it's been a bit rubbish that my husband couldn't come to the dating scan & 12 week scan but luckily he's coming to the 20 week scan next Friday which is nice. Luckily he obviously got to come to all last year, really feel for first time mums missing out with everything! First face to face appointment since 8 weeks is at 28 weeks which seems a huge time apart! How about you?

catnip99 · 01/08/2020 00:36

@Hannah9176 it's been rubbish to be honest. This is our first child, first pregnancy also so I went into this not knowing what to expect and so far I've felt so weird?

All my midwife appointments have been over the phone, I had my 12 week scan which I had to attend alone which was also my first physical appointment! I had a private scan last week just so that fiancé could actually see the baby and it was really lovely, got my 20 week scan next week which unfortunately I will be going to alone again as our hospital still isn't allowing partnersSad such a rubbish time, feel like the midwives don't have time for anything either, not only that but I don't actually have a midwife so if I need to contact anyone I have to call the midwife centre and hope I get through.

So for a first pregnancy it's been quite strange and difficult in a way?
