Toys for a newborn?

I thought I had pretty much everything I needed for baby arriving, but suddenly realised I have literally no baby toys in the house Blush. I know I won't be needing much in the very early days and I've got a bouncer with a couple of dangly bits on it but any recommendations for appropriate first baby toys? Thanks Smile

The black and white baby books, or cloth books with textures/mirrors are nice.

Sophie the Giraffe is very popular and also Freddie the Firefly, which can be attached to a pram or car seat. It's made by Lamaze and they seem to do lots of good toys for babies. Mine loved the activity spiral.
