I think I might have a hemorrhoid :( I have midwife appointment on Tuesday as I'll be 32 weeks so I was going to speak to her. Anyone got any advice or tips to deal with it? I've never had them before.

What I'm concerned about is with my son I had forceps and loads of stitches due to tearing/being cut. I also had an infection and fever so I was in hospital for a week after birth and it was awful. I've heard you're likely to tear again and stuff with subsequent pregnancies so I'm worried how a hemorrhoid may affect this. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Many thanks. I'm all teary and emotional today as it is due to lack of sleep so I'm like christ this is all I need :(

I’ve had them recently and I’m full term so obviously want them gone before labour. I have found germoloid cream very effective in shrinking them! Pregnancy is so glamorous eh 😅

Anusol is a life saver!!! Was recommended by my midwife.

Also full term with hemorrhoids (sp???) Yey!

On the positive side, I asked a consultant about what effect it might have during birth and she said that it actually made you less likely to tear as the skin was clearly already stretchy.. I have to say I was a bit dubious but I guess she should know Hmm

I am FTM and 31 weeks, yesterday I've discovered to my horror that i have external an externa hemorrhoids. For now they are just there, aren't painful and don't bleed but i am very worried as well. I'm also worried about how they will develop and how it will affect the birth. 😭 Hope all goes well for you OP.
