Am I having twins?

Hello, I had my ovulation exact 2 weeks ago. I got a Big Fat positive pregnancy result only 8days DPO.. Today I’m 14 days DPO and tried the digital clear blue which gave me a 3+ Weeks.. (as per clear blue 5+ weeks pregnant) is this a sign I’m having twins ?

Could be! Or it could just be nice strong hormone levels. You could book an early private scan if you want to know before 12 weeks.

Or it could be that your last period was implantation bleeding and you're further along than you thought?

I haven’t had my periods over 2 months, hence the reason why I went to Gynecologist and she said I was about to ovulate, which is what happened. That’s why I’m sure I’m only 2 weeks pregnant so far :)

I’m dying to go for an ultrasound, just so I know :)

I had stronger responses with both my singletons than my twins. Your gynae would have known if you were about to ovulate from both ovaries? Any signs of that? Could still be ID though they are rarer.

I've had this twice - once it was twins and the other time it wasn't.

I got 3+ early on with this pregnancy op I'm now 28+2 and it's only the one baby. It did cross my mind about twins before my scan lol as I was getting strong positives before missed af xx

This happened to me in my last pregnancy, there was just one baby in there. Not sure if it’s related but he’d always been a big baby!

I’m going through the exact same. Got a strong BFP at 7dpo and 3+ around 4 weeks. I know exactly when I ovulate as I track with opks and bbt I’m due to have my first scan next week at 6 weeks

HCG levels (which is what your digital test is using to decide how many weeks) are different for every woman and for every pregnancy.

If you think you’re 4 weeks and it’s telling you 3+ then you probably have higher HCG than average, but there is no correlation between that and whether it’s twins or not xx

Thank you all for your comments, I just have to wait for the ultrasound to see what’s happening I guess 😬 Let’s hope for a healthy result, how many it might be :)

Nono, I was ovulation from one ovary only.. I have also no twins in the family. So only option would be that it’s a an Identical twin. Big If..

This happened to me, I had very high HCG levels from the start. Just one baby in there though!

This happened to me as well. I had twins

With number 1 I got a very clear BFP at 3+4 and started feeling sick at 4+4. I posted the same question on here. It really was just the one. Felt sick alllll the way through though, so think I must've had quite high HCG levels. Do let us know when you find out

Did you get everything as heavy as well early in pregnancy?( I’m now 4 weeks pregnant only) like the tiredness, big breasts, acne, feeling sick.. This is my second pregnancy but my first wasn’t as bad and as fast of getting all of these pregnancy symptoms.

@LinnD well I needed maternity pants from 3+6 (tested positive 3+3) because of bloating. But nausea didn't set in until week 5. It was far far worse than my first pregnancy though lol

Update: I went today for first check up and ultrasound and there is 1 baby only but I am not just pregnant, I’m already 7+3 weeks pregnant hence the reason of my heavy symptoms. Heard the first heartbeats as well. 💗 So yes no twins for me. Thank you all for your comments!

@LinnD how on earth did the gynaecologist missed a pregnancy and think u were ovulating? Lol congrats!!
